Alsager WSD Exhibition at Little Moreton Hall June 1st – 12th 2011
We were delighted to have been invited back again, and once more the exhibition was in the Long Gallery and the room adjoining this.
Members were on hand to talk to visitors throughout the exhibition and we had demonstrations of weaving and/or spinning for as much of the time as possible. We also had a ‘have a go area’ which contained several activities to get visitors interested in our textile crafts. We had kits available for purchase for visitors to take home and get going straight away. We were able to give out details of a range of vendors of our larger equipment for those wanting to have their own spinning wheel, loom or dyeing products.
We had lots of new members to the Guild this year and will had a great display.
Below are photos of individual's work and also some overall shots of work in the Long Gallery
