January 30th 2010 Winter Workshop
Weaving for Textures
We had a great day! Kath Allen led the workshp and was helped by Jane White.
We learnt how to do a variety of textures on a simple rigid heddle, 2 or 4 shaft loom. We explored rya, soumack - including vertical and chaining, leno,Brooks Bouquet and Sapanish Lace. A busy day but still time to have a lovely shared lunch in the middle. Many thanks to Kath and Jane and to all those who participated. We all produced such different outcomes it was so inspiring. Janet (Chair)
If you are interested in our other workshops do keep an eye on this site and contact Jane to go on a waiting list. We always offer spaces if they are not all filled by Guild members.
